Hen and Stag parties used to be held a few nights before the wedding, but today these parties have become big events. It makes sense to put a lot more consideration into planning them well in advance of the wedding day.

How times have changed!

If you’re wanting to keep things small, a night out at your local restaurant, club, pub or theatre might be suffient.  Maybe even hiring a hall with a disco, family and friends could dress up to make the evening more fun.

Many DJ’s can include interactive entertainment to make the evening exciting.  Stags could dress up as Elvis Presley’s, punk rockers or Superheroes.

Hens could dress up as Dolly Partons, St. Trinians or nurses.  Kissagram or stripagrams could be ordered in advance for the pre Bride or Groom.

Nowadays people generally want more excitement so here’s a few ideas which might suit you.

Do you want a big Church or Civil wedding with a Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast, followed by a live band or DJ after, or a more
intimate Church or Civil wedding followed by a Wedding Breakfast only?

Will you have your Bridesmaids and guests dressed in a certain colour for dramatic effect (great for the photographer) or will your evening reception be styled like Vegas – complete with a roulette table and blackjack?

Make your choice of who to ask sensibly as some people just can’t handle the responsibility or the attention that these roles bring.  Don’t be upset if some people decline your offer, others will jump at the chance.

Try to keep control of the situation by delegation so no one decides to rule over your day!  Will you want one Bridesmaid and Best Man or a few of each?  Anything is acceptable whatever Ceremony you decide to have.
